Mobile App Helps Customers Earn Hundreds in Extra Credit Card Rewards
January 21, 2013
Credit card users can cash in more rewards through a new mobile app now available on the Apple App Store. Reward Summit(tm) tells credit card users which of their cards pay back the most cash, miles or points for any purchase – real-time, on the spot. The application is available for download from the App Store.
"Reward Summit helps your credit cards work for you," says John Espey, co-founder. "Our Reward Summit pilot test on average boosted card-holder rewards by $300 to $600 per year. As reward programs evolve, offer special campaigns or one-time offers, card holders using Reward Summit have an easy way to put more in their pockets." Espey offered an example. A card may offer 5% up to $1500 of purchases per quarter for restaurants and movie purchases, while other purchases earn 1%. Another card may offer 5% on drug store and gasoline. Reward Summit takes the guesswork out of finding the best deal for any purchase.
Reward Summit is backed up by a team with strong mobile, cloud computing, banking and cyber security experience. Chris Hart, co-founder of Reward Summit(tm) says, "This team built a game changing interface between mobile communications and personal finance, and the end user can use the app while in line waiting to pay for a purchase. Our app also can recommend the best new card to own based on individual spending patterns, which our studies show can increase rewards significantly."
The app requires no confidential customer information, such as card numbers or bank account numbers. This assures customers of their privacy and security. The app will also offer the ability to integrate with banks to securely pull in transactions to tally maximum spending limits for credit card offers. Reward Summit also meshes seamlessly with social networks to make recommendations based on location or merchant check-ins.
Hundreds of different credit card programs are available to consumers with many different types of reward programs. Rewards range from cash, airline miles or cash-to-bank account, to cards that award extra points if a certain amount is charged in a given time period. New federal financial regulations have credit card issuers changing perks and rewards. "Credit card rewards are a continually changing landscape, making that part of personal finances more complex. Every incremental savings adds up, though," says Espey.
Credit card companies may offer special rewards in three-month increments advertised well in advance but also offer unannounced weekend deals or one-day deals. Reward Summit is the dependable source of rewards information. It creates consistent reward-earning performance, individualized for each card holder, tapping the latest rewards data. "It’s the best couple of seconds card holders will invest when they check out at a store, restaurant or entertainment venue – a great payback. Each card holder sees that investment grow with each credit card statement," says Hart.
